Binary Submission Process for the App Stores

Publishing App Files in the App Stores

To publish your app files in the respective app stores, please download the files we sent you via email to your computer and start the submission process in App Store Connect (Apple) and the Google Play Console.

Important

The app itself is free of charge on all platforms (App Store Connect and Google Play Console).

If you want to offer paid content (e.g., issues), you must create in-app purchases in both App Store Connect and the Google Play Console.

Creating In-App Purchases for Paid Content

After creating your in-app purchases, the following information must be entered in Pegasus:

  • Product IDs (Apple & Google)

  • Prices of the individual in-app purchases

These must be stored in Pegasus under “Issues” → “Publish” for the respective issue.

Apple App Store (App Store Connect)

Please note

When submitting a new app with paid content in App Store Connect, it is important that all in-app products (in-app purchases and subscriptions) are submitted together with the app for Apple review.

Google Play Store (Google Play Console)

Screenshot Dimensions and Requirements

To publish your app in the App Store or Google Play Store, screenshots must be uploaded in specific sizes. Please follow these requirements carefully:

  • Resolution: 2048 × 2732 px (portrait) / 2732 × 2048 px (landscape)

  • Required: Yes, for Apple & Google

  • Note: Screenshots must be taken from the tablet version of the app.

Smartphone

6.5" Display

Some documentation may still refer to “iPhone Max” or “iPhone.” Only the 6.5" (mandatory) and 5.5" (optional) display sizes are relevant.

General Notes

  • The same dimensions can also be used for the Google Play Store (6.5" & 13").

  • Important for device assignment:

    • iPhone screenshots must be from the smartphone version of the app.

    • iPad screenshots must be from the tablet version of the app.

    • Smartphone screenshots must not be uploaded in the iPad section.

    • Tablet screenshots must not be used as iPhone screenshots.

  • Apple and Google check this very carefully – incorrect assignments can lead to app rejection.
