Activate In App Purchases for Apple App Store

Before you can offer fee-based editions for Apple iOS devices through in-app purchases in your Kiosk-App, you first have to activate the payment function in iTunes Connect. To do this you must apply for the "iOS Paid Applications" contract in the section "Agreements, Taxes, and Bank Accounts" in addition to the "iOS Free Applications" contract.

If your app and its contents are to be made available for free to your customers, the "iOS Paid Applications" contract is not necessary.

  1. Log in at with your user information.
  2. Click on the "Agreements, Taxes, and Bank Accounts" icon.
  3. Apply for the desired contracts and fill out the required fields, "Contact Info", "Bank Info", and "Tax Info". The status "Pending" will be sufficient to be able to set up in-app products. As soon as you have provided all information, Apple reviews your application and the status changes to "In Effect" (this can take some hours or days).
