After activating the Browser Client, the URL points to bc.pressmatrix.com by default. For consistent branding, the hostname can be customized using your own subdomain.
Requirements
- Access to the DNS settings of the domain
- Basic knowledge of domains and DNS
Set up your own subdomain
- Create the desired subdomain in your domain provider’s portal, e.g. emagazin.mydomain.com.
- Set the CNAME record of the subdomain to bc.pressmatrix.com.
- Check the CNAME record. The DNS change may take up to 24 hours.
- In Pegasus, go to Settings > Browser Client, enter the subdomain, and define the language.
Check the CNAME
- Open www.mxtoolbox.com.
- In the search field, enter cname: followed by the subdomain, e.g. cname:emagazin.mydomain.de, and start the search.
- If the result shows a CNAME pointing to bc.pressmatrix.com, the setup was successful.
NotesThe subdomain should only be entered in the Workbench approximately 24 hours after it has been created. If there is an issue with accessibility, please first remove the subdomain from the Workbench settings, save the changes without the subdomain, and then add the subdomain again. The required certificate is provided on our side. When using Custom Tabs, also define a homepage for the web browser. |
