Since February 17, 2024, the new Digital Services Act (DSA) has been in effect in the EU.
Excerpt from Apple's notification:
About the Digital Services Act
The DSA requires Apple to verify and display the contact details of all merchants distributing apps on the App Store within the EU. This includes an address, a phone number, and an email address that you provide for publication on your App Store product page.
Submission Requirements
To submit new apps to the App Store, you must indicate whether you are a trader. If you are, you may be asked to provide documentation confirming your business contact details.
We also recommend updating this information for apps that have already been submitted.
The DSA defines a "trader" as "any natural or legal person, regardless of whether privately or publicly owned, acting — including through any other person acting in their name or on their behalf — for purposes relating to their trade, business, craft or profession."
If you have specific questions about your status as a trader, please consult your legal advisor.
